National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)

The Federation of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) represents the home building industry by serving its members and affiliated state and local builders associations. The NAHB strives to improve housing affordability, availability and choice.


North Carolina Home Builder Association (NCHBA)

The North Carolina Home Builders Association is comprised of members who pool information and efforts to provide the collective clout and muscle the home building industry needs…for self protection, for the benefits of its members, and for the protection of home buyers. NCHBA plays a key role in helping maintain consistently higher industry standards of conduct, quality, and ethics.

Asheville Home Builders (AHB)

The Asheville Home Builders Association (AHBA) is the primary resource for the home building industry in Western North Carolina. Its mission is to educate and support members, contribute to the local community, and represent the local, state, and national building industry.

Western North Carolina Green Building Council (WNCGBC)

WNCGBC mission is to promote environmentally sustainable and health conscious building practices through community education and further green building to more people in western North Carolina.

BuildSmart Alliance

Build Smart is an alliance of qualified green building specialists in Western North Carolina serving builders, architects, developers, and homeowners. Through the alliance’s commitment to environmental stewardship, they deliver integrated solutions to optimize health, increase comfort, reduce energy use, and enhance durability. The alliance members simplify sustainable building by providing a total solution to clients through a single point of contact.

United States Green Building Council (USGBC)

The United States Green Building Council is a non-profit organization committed to a prosperous and sustainable future for our nation through cost-efficient and energy-saving green building.

Structural Building Components Association (SBCA)

Established in 1983, SBCA has become the only international trade association representing manufacturers of structural building components.They provide services their membership needs to continue expanding the market share of all structural building components by promoting the common interests of those engaged in manufacturing trusses, wall panels and related structural components to ensure growth, continuity and increased professionalism, which will strengthen the structural building component manufacturing industry's influence.

 Better Business Bureau

The Better Business Bureau's mission is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust. BBB accomplishes this mission by creating a community of trustworthy businesses, setting standards for marketplace trust, encouraging and supporting best practices, celebrating marketplace role models and denouncing substandard marketplace behavior.

Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce

The mission of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce is to increase the region's livability by advancing its economic vitality. To do this, the Asheville Chamber divides its work into several departments: Member Services & Communications, Economic Development, Public Policy and the Convention & Visitors Bureau.

We live 25 miles from the epicenter of a 5.8 quake. Unlike many people around us in this area, we came through it unscathed. The house is solid as a rock! No cracks to walls inside or out, none to foundation, and none to stucco or stone exterior. I have to say when we realized what was happening, it never occurred to us to run out of the house because we know how well this house is constructed.
