Leadership Team

Steve Linton
President
Steve is responsible for Deltec Homes, as well as DelKote Machine Finishing and Deltec Building Company operations. Linton has been at Deltec for four years and was previously Director of Sustainable Technologies, with a focus on helping homeowners improve product energy efficiency and educating builders and homeowners on best practices for sustainable construction. As an expert in green building, he continues to champion green building through his role as company president.

He is a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional and formerly a BPI (Building Performance Institute) Certified Professional. Steve has a degree in Civil Engineering from Cornell University. He also teaches classes on green building and building science at national homebuilding conferences.

Prior to Deltec Homes, he worked as a project manager on multiple historic renovation projects in Boston including Trinity Church, focusing on exterior restoration of historic structures. He also spent several years in North Carolina classrooms teaching math and science.

Steve is married and has two sons. He’s active in the community and loves outdoor sports such as rock climbing and mountain biking. Volunteer activities include coaching middle school students with science fair projects and delivering meals for Meals on Wheels.

John Nicholson
Director of Purchasing and Manufacturing
John has directed a team of professionals who procure materials and services and manage the warehouse since 2003. Coaching his team to do their best using a process of continuous improvement brings him great satisfaction.

John is an avid sportsman whose favorite sports include fishing, hunting, boating, and golfing.


Joseph Schlenk
Director of Sales and Marketing
Joe heads up the sales, design, and marketing departments at Deltec. He has nearly two decades of experience with the company. He most enjoys working with Deltec’s extraordinary staff, and notes that high caliber personnel results in a high caliber product which creates very happy homeowners.

Joe’s family includes three grown children and two miniature dachshunds. In addition to his family, he is content doing almost any outdoor activity, especially cycling and golfing.


D. Ben Poss, P.E.
Director of Engineering
Ben manages the engineering and drafting departments at Deltec, a job he’s held for six years. He and his staff’s responsibilities include analysis and design, research and development, and helping customers through the permitting and construction process. He loves helping people build their perfect home.

Ben’s a family man who says raising his kids is one of his great joys. He also likes cycling, camping, and beer tasting, not necessarily in that order.

Design Team

These experienced staff members creatively collaborate with homeowners to design a custom floor plan that meets all their needs. Once the floor plans are agreed upon, they continue to work closely with clients until the home is shipped. Meet the team:

Chad Moore
Senior Project Manager
Chad started with Deltec in 1998 in the Drafting department, helping turn customer ideas into definitive plans. Today he works directly with homeowners on all different aspects of building their custom home, including design, drafting, engineering, selecting windows and other options, financing, and construction. Chad says that helping create a working floor plan from customer ideas and then watching that turn into a beautifully finished home is very rewarding to him.

Family time is important to Chad, who says he’s married to his best friend. The couple has two beautiful daughters and a very playful puppy. In his leisure time, Chad likes outdoor activities such as hiking in the mountains, skiing, and golfing.

Kerry Watkins
Project Manager
Kerry has worked for Deltec in Customer Service for more than eight years helping customers turn dreams of their perfect home into reality, which gives her an infinite sense of satisfaction. She loves working for a company that cares about its employees, clients, and the environment.

Kerry is dedicated to her family; she also loves her pets and working in his garden. She says living in the beautiful WNC mountains is a wonderful bonus because she thoroughly enjoys the outdoors.

Green Building Team

Leigha Dickens and Steve Linton are passionate about the environment and sustainability. They enjoy teaching others about these topics. One way they do that is to write about environmental issues in various media.

Leigha Dickens
Green Building Coordinator
Leigha works with Steve Linton to help customers evaluate their sustainability options, and provide technical expertise about Deltec’s green products. She also performs energy audits for Asheville’s BuildSmart. She recently earned her BS in physics from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where she was actively involved with environmental initiatives.

Mark Bloomfield Sr.
Sales Advisor
Mark works with clients to help them build a custom home that meets their specific needs—he’s been doing this with Deltec Homes for more than 14 years. He enjoys listening closely and collaborating with clients to find solutions. Mark receives great satisfaction from his job for several reasons; he enjoys his coworkers, he loves helping people from all over the world realize what’s possible in a home, and he learns something new each day.

A dedicated family man, Mark lives with his wife and two children. His favorite thing to do when he’s not working is to spend time with them, and oh yes, sometimes play a little golf.


Dallam Hart
Senior Sales Advisor
Dallam joined Deltec in the mid-1990s. He says it remains a pleasure to educate people about Deltec’s system built homes, and he enjoys helping them make the decision, noting that it’s one of the biggest financial decisions people make in a lifetime. Working with people from all walks of life with different life stories keeps things fresh for him.

When he’s not working Dallam likes to go camping with his wife and two children. Swimming and fly fishing are fun outdoor sports for him, and he has a blast coaching youth soccer too.

David Ledford
Sales Advisor
David started his career with Deltec in 2004. He consults with clients, listens carefully, and then helps them make decisions about their new home. He strongly believes that Deltec homeowners get the best product available, and he says that working with people who really care makes his job interesting and fun.

David plays an unusual sport—he’s been a member of the dart league for more than two decades! When he’s not playing darts, he loves spending time with his family and his dog Tiki, playing golf, and coaching baseball.

Mark Morales
Senior Sales Advisor
Mark is a longtime staff member at Deltec Homes; he’s been with Deltec for more than 12 years. As the initial point person he navigates customers through the process, including questions about costs, construction, overall design, and floor plans.  Mark says that helping bring shape and vision to peoples’ dream homes never fails to delight him, and he likes listening to their needs.

Mark is a performer who enjoys singing live on stage. He also likes finding new trails to hike with his dog, and working out. His short list includes learning to sight read music and playing the piano.

Fred Morgan
Senior Sales Advisor
Fred’s tenure with Deltec spans more than two decades. He has served the company in many ways, and currently he manages the Deltec model home, touring guests through the facility and watching their delight as they realize the possibilities. He says he admires the company’s integrity and is proud to work for such a terrific company with skilled, caring employees.

In his leisure time, he enjoys being with his family. He also likes animals and sports.

Tim Riddle
Sales Advisor
Tim has helped interested people discover the value of owning a Deltec home for more than a decade. He does this by listening, answering and asking questions, and guiding customers down the new home ownership path. His favorite part of the job is getting to communicate with so many different people all over the country, and because he loves to travel, he views his job as an extension of his desire to see different places.

In addition to traveling, Tim and his wife love eating great food, sometimes even cooking it themselves, and he says he enjoys having his teenage son join them for great food and travel. Tim also has two adult daughters and three dogs. When he has time, he rides a bike for exercise.

Spencer Levleit
IT Manager/Web Master
Spencer manages network administration such as backup, security, access, systems and apps support. He also keeps other Deltec staff up and running by maintaining servers, network infrastructure, and individual computers. Oh yes, he also handles the website and online campaigns. Spencer says Deltec provides a family-like atmosphere that he appreciates.

Spencer is an animal lover, as evidenced by the fact that he has two dogs, a cat, a goat, and some chickens. When he’s not playing with the animals, he plays softball and bowls. Spencer also loves to read and watch sports on TV.

Engineering Team

Kevin Adams
Technical Specialist

Kevin manages Deltec’s construction help line seven days a week. He works with homeowners and builders to answer question as they arise on the job site. He says meeting the challenges and opportunities he receives each day allows him to keep projects on task and to meet expectations.
 
When he’s not working, Kevin creates custom leather work and blacksmithing. He also participates in competitive shooting, and likes to camp and ride bikes.
