Safe and Secure When You Need It Most

In over 40 years of business Deltec Homes has never lost a home to high winds, including hurricanes. We are proud of this survival record and the reassurance it offers to both potential and existing homeowners.

In 2005, Category 5 Hurricane Katrina devastated much of the Gulf Coast. Not one of the many Deltec homes in her path incurred any structural damage. This includes a Deltec home in Pass Christian, Mississippi that was hit by a 29 foot tidal surge and sustained winds of 145 mph for twelve hours—still no structural damage.

Time after time grateful homeowners tell us survival stories about their Deltec homes.

"Everything around us was destroyed as the eye of the hurricane passed directly over our home. Damage around us was unbelievable. Our family stayed in our Deltec home during the hurricane. There weren't even any shingles gone from the roof, but the trees outside were completely twisted apart. The contractor who built the house came by the day after Ivan hit and was amazed."

Helping Others in Times of Need

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition asked us to partner with them in 2008 to build a hurricane resistant home and church in the New Orleans area. The Extreme Makeover staff chose Deltec for the project because of our survivability history. It was an honor to participate in this project, and we are grateful to the many businesses and individuals that also volunteered to complete these structures in just one week.
