At Deltec we strive to produce high quality, high performance green homes without sacrificing our desire to be good stewards of the earth and our natural resources. R ecently we hired an outside energy expert, Amy Musser, Ph. D. of Vandemusser Design, to perform energy modeling of Deltec Homes in various climates and with various energy efficient upgrades. We have highlighted many of the important findings of this study here to help our homeowners make educated decisions about their home purchase. To most homebuilders, a wall is a wall. At Deltec, our wall panels are an evolution of 40 years of expertise and constant evaluation. Our most recent wall panel advancement allows a 50% improvement in R-value over a typical 2x6 stick built wall. The Deltec "Energy Wall" is a wall system that has 24" stud spacing, insulated headers, and optimized blocking to maximize the amount of insulation that can be installed within the panel. Pair the Energy Wall with our exterior R-5 rigid foam, and you have an extremely high performing wall system for your new home.
