High Performance Housewrap

What is Housewrap?

A water-resistant, yet breathable protective barrier is an important component of a home that is built to last. This barrier is applied over wood sheathing and behind the siding of your Deltec wall panel, stopping any water that is driven past the siding from getting into critical building components. 

HouseWrap from Typar will block liquid water while allowing water vapor to escape, ensuring that water is never trapped in the walls.  Typar HouseWrap also serves as an additional air-barrier, to help cut down on drafts and air leaks that can significantly reduce the energy efficiency of a home.

Typar StormWrap is an upgrade available for high-wind or other extreme weather areas, where impact resistance is critical.  StormWrap combines all of the advantages of HouseWrap with fiber reinforcements for outstanding impact resistance, meeting the rigorous standards of Florida Building Codes where hurricane-resistant design is a must.
