Low-VOC Products

Preserving Indoor Air Quality

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are hazardous chemicals released from the glues, dyes, paints, and resins of many common building materials.  As newer homes are built more and more airtight, VOCs have fewer opportunities to be removed from indoor air, and concentrations of the chemcials can build to high levels.  Many VOCs have been shown to have short and long-term health effects at high concentrations, especially for people with asthma or other respiratory conditions.

Deltec is committed to reducing the VOC content of the building products supplied with our home kits.  Chemically sensitive customers can further reduce their exposure to VOCs by choosing low-VOC options when finishing out the home.
