A video message from our president

 

In our over 50-year history of building homes, we have worked through many tough times—financial crises, countless hurricanes, natural and environmental disasters, and health epidemics—all while designing and building The Deltec Way in all 50 states and over 30 countries on 5 continents.

We have been incredibly thankful for the many words of support we have received from our customers and the dedication of our employees through the start of this pandemic. With the strong support of all of them, we are lucky to continue to be financially stable and prepared to work through this evolving situation.

Following North Carolina’s shift to Phase I of its reopening plan, we began the phased opening of our facilities on May 11th. Customers who would like to visit our model homes or production facility may do so by scheduling an appointment with their Deltec representative. Because most of our employees continue to work from home as well as our safety protocol, we are not allowing walk-in visitors at this time.

We are moving forward cautiously and continuing to place the safety of our employees and our customers first. Therefore, we have developed a safety protocol for anyone who is at our facility. That includes taking the temperature of employees and visitors before entering as well as using masks and following a stepped-up cleaning regimen of the facility, among other measures.

We will continue to monitor and revise our procedure as we move forward during this initial reopening as we work towards phase 2 as outlined by the state of North Carolina.

In the meanwhile, we had been able to continue production and continue shipping homes. With the launch of this new phase, we have updated our production safety procedures as we continue production towards a more normalized production schedule. Working with our suppliers, we have maintained our increased inventory of materials and are in a strong position to meet our current and future production schedule.

What will not change, however, is our continued customer support including extended hours, more virtual meetings and seminars, as well as continuing our Deltec Homeowners Assurance Program. We have been very encouraged by the reaction to these initiatives. While we are in the process of re-opening our facility, we are aware that many of our customers continue to be in different situations and we will continue to work with them based on their local conditions.

Without the strong support of our customers and the resiliency of our employees we would not be in the position today to continue looking forward. We are deeply indebted to them both. We will not forget the hardship that this pandemic has brought to so many already, while we also plan towards the future and the different world in which we will find ourselves.
