This contemporary and simple model is designed for form and function when it comes to sustainability and layout. For this Renew Collection feature, I asked Andrea Martin, Deltec CAD Designer and brain behind the Highland what inspired her to create this model.
“We knew contemporary homes are light and bright, yet simple and that is what we planned for in this home. For me, the highlights of this layout are the secluded master suite and the bright foyer to the covered porch,” said Andrea. “There is a sense of privacy in every personal space. The master suite allows for complete seclusion and quiet. The bathrooms are far from living areas, as is the laundry room, which means no noise from the washer or dryer — two of my pet peeves. Finally, the spacious loft is perfect for office work with a view.”
Though there is privacy in all the right places, the living area is open and blends into the outdoor space. The monoslope roofs make it even more spacious by providing vaulted ceilings and with south facing glass, airtight building envelope and energy efficient options selected based on your climate, the Highland can easily achieve net-zero energy.
